Popsicle history.

In 1905 an 11-year old boy named Frank Epperson from Oakland, California left a mixing stick in a glass of orange juice on a windowsill while visiting a friend in New Jersey in the winter.  Frank patented it in 1922, first calling it the Ice Lollipop, then the Epsicle, and finally the Popsicle.
