An all time favorite salad - with a summer twist.
1/2 cup olive oil
3 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons prepared brown mustard
1 1/2 tablespoons A1 steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon EACH salt and pepper
1 head of heart of Romaine lettuce
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 lemon
Preheat grill to medium-hot.
In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, mustard, A1 sauce and salt and pepper. Slice Romaine in half lengthwise, leaving stem intact. Generously brush cut sides of Romaine withdressing. Place on grill, cut side down for 2 minutes. Turn, sprinkle Parmesan on top, close grill lid and grill 30 - 60 seconds, or until cheese is melted. Remove from grill and squeeze fresh lemon juice on top. Serves 2.
