The combination of strawberries and balsamic vinegar sounds like a weird combination to put over ice cream, but I thought it was delicious.
2 1/2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 pints ripe strawberries, cleaned and sliced
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
Vanilla ice cream
In a medium skillet, melt together butter and brown sugar over low flame. Add strawberries and stir to coat. Add balsamic vinegar, bring to a boil. Simmer 3 minutes. Spoon over ice cream. Enough for 4 – 6 servings.
