Topped with mustard sauce and Gruyere cheese. I love these!
1 1/2 pounds ground bison
5 tablespoons mayonnaise, divided
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup instant coffee crystals
3 tablespoons brown mustard
5 - 7 slices Gruyere cheese
5 - 7 pretzel rolls
Form 5 - 7 bison patties (a little smaller than a regular hamburger). Brush both sides with mayonnaise (about 2 tablespoons total). Grill, seasoning the tops with half of the salt and half of the coffee. After five minutes, flip and sear the second side. Cook a few more minutes and flip one more time to sear on the coffee mixture.
Mis remaining mayonnaise with mustard. Place about a tablespoons worth on top of each burger. Add cheese and close the lid of the grill until cheese melts. Makes 5 - 7 sliders.
